I think the topic is important, but why didn’t you open a new topic? E. g. with title “Cyclonic dust separator and 2.5 micron dust bag filter do not retain MDF dust”?

Neither the topic Anyone with a big dust collector hook up that 4” (or greater) to the 1F? nor the topic Dust collection options. Help really matches, but with the latter, it’s okay that it’s there, and it’s not okay that you now spread around and split up the topic everywhere.

Also, as I also tried to explain in the other thread, no one expects a dust bag filter or a cyclonic separator to filter out the finest part of MDF dust.

I think you started it here and there are already multiple follow-ups there.

I think there are good reasons why in the forum’s rules it say:

Keep It Tidy

Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. So:

  • Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics.
  • Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
