Hey peeps. I’m totally new here. Just got the new apprentice with a redline controller and 65mm spindle. Got everything together and was getting the error 14 code, double checked that i was powering up the vfd first and such and had to go through the process of reprogramming the vfd. Now the error code is gone and I can run the spindle in manual mode, but when I try and select the redline spindle in realtime cnc it keeps saying “spindle communication error” Anyone got any ideas? Appreciate the help.
Error 14 is covered in the spindle manual.

The short answer is, press the red Start/Stop button on the DRO (Digital Read Out) which is probably where you’re seeing the error code.

The error 14 is no longer showing once I did the vgd reset. I reprogrammed it following the provided video. The only error I am seeing is on the real time cnc program. It’s saying “spindle communication error” Thanks for the help I am so excited to get this thing going and start playing with it lol.

That is for a BB buildbotics controller on the older machines.
