BB Firmware Update for original Woodworker

I’m still going strong on the 1.0.9 firmware on the original woodworker (been using since 2021). My question is - is there any reason that I shouldn’t update my firmware? Sometimes it can be buggy (i have had a few cuts lately where I have pressed “stop” and haven’t been able to jog the machine, so I have had to shut down and restart), but other than that it’s been fine. Just don’t want to be missing out on new features. I honestly haven’t really kept up with what each update does either.

Thanks!

No reason. New firmware has bug fixes and added features

I upgraded to the 1.6.1 and have had no issues. The biggest advantage I see (for me at least) is that there are macro buttons. I don’t remember what version they were introduced. I use them for my most used programs that I run and positions like all the way front for manual tool change. All the way back left for park to open up the full table for setup.

Thank you that helps a lot!!

I too am still on 1.09. Will I have to change any settings or will it keep what I have set now? Thanks

When you updated, just run the reset upon first boot:
