New to the CNC world. I will be running Carveco Maker and am looking for advice on whts the best computer to use.

Not sure if they have any computer recommendations as far as what they require, but i would start there and then look on ebay for used or refurbished ones. I bought a used lenovo laptop and its been great so far.

Carveco’s website will tell you the minimum requirements, and the same will work for Vectric software also, which is good because like many who started out with Carveco maker and got real frustrated eventually bought Vectric Vcarve and never looked back.

Thank you for the feedback - it’s all new to me but almost everyone I talk to said the same thing- I’ll give Carveco a try because it free for a year but most people say it’s not as user friendly and I need all the help I can get. Again, thank you for the feedback.

Ventric has a free trial meaning you can create and preview your designs but not create Gcode. So you could play around with that software as well.
