I just updates my BB controller to the lastes 1.4 version with the macros. Im excited to try the macros out. However, i noticed what i feel is a big headache. It seems the dropdown box where i can quickly choose my already loaded files is gone. I cannot find it anywhere. At this time, i do not know how to load those files. Anyone else seeing this issue? I would really like this box back .
After some more investigation, it seems as though the dropdown box is there but all of my preloaded files are missing. Does updating to the latest version delete all the previous files?
I just updated yesterday and yes, they are all deleted - or at least not available.
They did change how the file system works, so maybe they are still there under a different directory.
Somewhere on this forum it details how to get into the underlying file system. If you really have no backups of those files you may need to look at that, but I would not put much hope in getting them back.
Thanks for confirmig that. I do have backups to reload, just wish i didnt have to. I wish id have known that ahead of time though. Maybe i missed that in the release notes. Im working on gathering all the files now. Thanks again.
Yeah, my Gcode files are missing from my drop-down, too. To make it more frustrating, it’s not processing new files that I’m trying to upload remotely, either. I’ve tried uploading a new folder, instead; it seems to process something, and the new folder in visible in the folder drop-down selection, but there are still no files in the file drop-down.
So far i have been able to upload remotely like ive always done. The new files are showing for me in the folder called “default folder”. Im working on replacing all the files that are gone but its going to take some time. Its kind of frustrating.
Yeah, my default folder is empty. Attempts to upload new gcodes files doesn’t do anything. Uploaded folders will show/can be selected in the folder drop-down, but there are still no files available in the file drop-down.
IOW, I can’t do a single thing with my Onefinity, at the moment.
Try to Reflash the os
Re-install the 1.4 firmware build? I tried doing that again (via web) - no difference.
Okay, looks like the new file issue was a nomenclature problem on my part. The files were named after the size of the holes being bored and the system didn’t like the “.516” without a 0 preceding it. Oops.
Now I just need to re-upload all of the old files that disappeared. Thanks.
I used the new file management under beta, you can now load entire folders, see the posting on 1.4 as how it works.
