Restoring Settings Using JSON File v. 1.6.2 (bb controller)

Just finished reflashing my BB controller, but when I went to restore my settings via JSON file I was prompted to add a zip file. Uploading the JSON file did nothing. Zipping then uploading the JSON file also did nothing. I think my next step will be to roll back the OS to an older version, restore my settings and then update back to 1.6.2, unless anyone has a better suggestion.

Wanted to track it here because I didn’t see anything about this issue in the forum.

That is because it’s looking for macros in the zip file.

What you can do is save the configuration that’s on the controller right now (but make one macro beforehand), then unzip, replace with your json, then rezip and then restore!

Perfect, thank you! Rolling it back worked too, but that solution is much more elegant!
