Hello guys,
I am very new to the v carving side of cnc and I’m trying to carve out a mountain silhouette on a serving board. I got some clips arts like these:
So my question is: how do I go about setting the toolpath for this type of carve and what type of bits should I use?
Much apperciated
Jackon
Bitmaping tutorials are what you’d be looking for if you’re using vcarve. Typically a 90-degree v-bit is used.
There are a number of websites that offer free vector artwork. You might consider checking out some of these options as they should be easier to work with — and give better results — than those tiny rasterized images.
