I have been having issues with my V-carved letters. They keep coming out choppy. Is there something in Vectric that can fix this?
Are the letters traced or from a Vcarve font?
If you can send me the original vector files you placed in Vectric (or if Vectric has a export option, I’m not familiar with that software) I can take a look, but those look like your curves are being made from a series of flat segments rather than bezier curves.
As Ken5 mentions if they’re being traced it’s possible the tracing program isn’t doing a good job of creating the trace (that can be a extremely nuanced process). If it’s a font, then there’s probably some other issue as the math used to define the glyphs are usually well defined since fonts need to be able to scale up and down and still look great.
Also when asking questions like this, it is helpful to the reader that wants to help if you give more information. Like what sort of bits you are using. Up cut, down cut, spiral, etc. What are the feeds and speeds, your software and version, and of course what machine you are using. all of this can be very helpful. thanks.
