Controls and all on right side

I have read a post here from 2020 for a solution, but wanted to see if the Gen 2 Foreman Elite could have the controls and such on the right side of the bench? I have it here and the perfect place in my small area in the garage would put the 220 plug on the right side of the bench and I just was wondering. I can probably just run a longer 220v cable, but thought this may be easier if the x axis can be flipped….

Thank you in advance, plan is to build the bench for it this weekend and hopefully post success next week.

We haven’t done it at the plant, but we have had one customer do it, so it’s possible!

Does that mean the Redline Controller provides for reversing the axis motor’s operational direction like the BB does?

I’ve not received my Foreman yet but my shop layout will work out better if the controls can be rightside vs the standard left. (My experience, being right handed, yields better reaction time for E-stop when controls are mounted on the right side.)

The online manual is excellent, and in the section describing the Configuration of the Motor Drivers it shows a check box for ‘Axis Travel Reversed’. There is always the option on any motor to switch the DIR conductor connections.

Thanks, it’s as the wife would often ask, “did you read the instructions?”. I’m looking forward to a new learning experience with Gen 2.

I hope my response didn’t come across as a ‘dis’ about you not reading the manual :face_savoring_food:

It was more my reaction to the quality of the manual when I went through it. I own a ‘now’ highly modified old Woodworker original, but like to keep up to date on the offerings of Onefinity and other hobby CNC manufacturers.

Nope, I know what you are talking about, and you’d think an engineering background would know better. We still get a chuckle out of it from time to time.
