If I were to buy a used unassembled machine, is there support from Onefinity as I try to get it working? I see that there are occasional software updates to download, would this be available to subsequent owners of a new machine? Are there other disadvantages?

Remaining warranty is all that is to consider. Updates are available to everyone forever for free.
