I was having some issues with my 3D printer so it took me a while to get this done. But here it is, a front mount dust boot for the OneFinity with a PWNCNC spindle and a 4" dust hose.
I added a flip-up hammer lock to keep the dust boot in place and used the same magnet and pilot ring to connect the 4" hose. I’m thinking I will print a second dust boot and install a longer brush so I’ll have a long and short brush for different needs. The support arm geometry had to change since the centerline of the spindle is further away from the Z-slider main plate. I also tweaked the geometry of the air duct to hopefully improve the already wonderful airflow.
Here is a picture of the complete system.
Here is a picture of the hammer lock that keeps the dust boot from sliding out of the dovetail slide groove.
Here is a picture of the upper hose support. This is improved over my previous design in that the connection between the two pieces are tapered so it is easer to assemble.
This image shows the magnets and improved air duct.
This image shows the dovetail slides on both the adjustable base and the boot.
