I have been in discussions with Onefinity as I purchased the Ultimate Elite Bundle, it stated that the compatible dust boot the Suckit SM would be available prior to despatch of the ATC. As I live in the UK I was concerned about incurring an additional delivery cost, the response was they have no date when it will be available and if I want to order when it is available it will be shipped separately with an additional shipping cost, but no date of when it will be available. So just to be aware if you are thinking of buying the ATC note that the compatible dust boot is not available.
After discussions with Onefinity their response was for me to cancel my order then, not exactly the help I was expecting to receive from Onefinity who after doing loads of research I believed were a decent company to do business with and looked after their customers.
I can understand your frustration but if the thing isn’t going to be ready it isn’t going to be ready. One option is to cancel your order and once there is a firm date you can reorder. They said in the most recent podcast that it will be advertised when the deal is ending, so the offer won’t be swept out from under you, unexpectedly.
I get all the excitement for all these announcements and wanting to be an early adopter, but waiting is an option too.
I understand delays in production or design, I would have been happy for them to have made an offer regarding the delivery if it wouldn’t be available until after everything else was despatched. It’s annoying that they haven’t offered anything apart from the option to cancel your order.
I haven’t used or even seen an ATC so don’t really know if I could get a third party dust shoe that would work.
Again, if it isn’t going to be ready, there’s nothing that can be done about it. You can’t purchase a product that doesn’t exist yet. You are also under no obligation to purchase the product in the first place. I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect some kind of special treatment when you could theoretically just wait and purchase it all together when the product is ready.
It does suck, and I get your frustration, but they’re a business above all else.
