Easy ATC Gen 1 Elite Masso - Cannot detect tool

From what I have learned from reading posts is that the LED being on all the time may be the issue - it should not be. I would reach out to Don at Rapid Change as he can tell you right away if there is an issue with the circuit/board.

Light on the atc is always on

I am finally setting up my Rapidchange ATC step by step along with the video. However, I notice that the green light on the ATC is on, and it stays on. Something is wrong because it is only supposed to come on when the tool breaks some sort of beam. Have I got a bad unit or did I do something wrong? I cannot go forward till I correct this so help would be appreciated.
