Great video, helps. I am curious where his secondary connection to his touch plate is connected. I sometimes forget to attach it to the spindle, with poor result.

Same here; I typically forget when I’m using a nice bit. I’m guessing he has continuity between the spindle and the QWC frame. so he can connect to the QWC.

My bit is a 1/2” four flute I am using to mill aluminum. After homing the machine, I pressed rewind and start cycle and it went straight down and started drilling into the tool setter, but if I tell it to go to work origin after it homes and measures the tool, then press rewind and start cycle, it goes right to work perfectly. Why would this happen?
