EP. 34 Onefinity Projects - Giant Oreo Stash Box

Ahh, the classic Oreo - a household favorite! This cookie’s iconic design looks great in walnut and maple, and it’s super easy to cut on the CNC. This project uses very little material, and doesn’t take very long to complete.

Follow along as Morgan shows you how to toolpath and machine this simple, charming little Oreo stash box!

I’m new at this. How do I get this file into vcarve program?

Must be doing something wrong I can’t open these with Vcarve Pro

Im having the same trouble can’t understand

Use the svg files import them into Vcarve, then create your tools from there.
the .Crv3d files won’t open in Vcarve, only in Aspire and .art for Artcam-Carveco.

edited the files to fix the Vectric (we only loaded the aspire files originally.)
You need v12 to open these.

First download says _Oreo stash box file is not a valid art file.
V2, both carveco files are for the middle…

Not true, .crv3d files will open in VCarve Pro.

Redownload. Files updated.

Hey, does anyone know what the vectors and associated “Outside Center Pockets” path are for?

Oops. Re-watched. It’s a two-sided job. Will have to do some additional work to the file accordingly. Will also take care of the magnet pockets.

Are the Outside Center Pocket dimensions correct? It seems to take off too much. The inside of the cut is about 5.4", but the inside of the “creamy layer” is 6.25. It seems like the lids should have an inside diameter closer to 6.2.

I haven’t made this yet. Plan to. I have CNC/Laser ADHD!

I saw this at WorkbenchCon, and wanted to make it since seeing it there. Thanks for sharing the files!

Thanks for posting the free files. Vcarve pro v12. It came out great. Got any more like this?

I tried the Oreo cookie. When I carve the Oreo side it works perfect. When I do the back side it does not line up with the creamy donut. When I turn the project it doesn’t line up correctly.

Hmm that’s weird - not sure why that would be so. I’m gonna send you a DM so we can figure this out
