this is for a redline gen two machine using Vcarve pro by Vectrics. I homed all axis probed for z then tried to run a flattening program .0625 depth 48x32 with a 2-inch six flute bit. x and y seem fine, but the machine told me I was exceeding the z travel by over two inches. so, I rehomed reprobed and now it tells me I am exceeding the z travel by over 20 inches …HUH? I am now a newbie on the redline. but this makes no sense to me. By the way i have read the exceeding travel posts but nothing gives me the answer for exceeding Z. at least not that I understood.
I don’t have Vcarve or Redline but is it possible you have the wrong number in Z clearance
ok i figured it out silly mistake the bit could reach the probe block but not the surface of the spoil board. corrected that and reprobed and it is now working . new problem
