I dig my machine

I really dig my machine. I have a Journeyman with upgraded z-20 and 80mm spindle. It has quirks but with the newest firmware, I have no complaints. I use it almost every day over the past four years and have pushed it to my limits.

And the community has been key. You all here have helped tremendously!

Not sure why I’m writing this other than I felt I had to. Big thanks to Onefinity and the Onefinity community.

Hope all is well.

You wrote it because you are feeling blessed and wanted to share that feeling. Nothing wrong with that.

Have fun and be blessed even more!

Bill, I am about to be blessed too.

My Elite Forman is scheduled arrive tomorrow (11/12/2024) to my home in Albuquerque, NM.

I’m very excited to start a new adventure.

I’m a newcomer here, and finding the community, from Onefinity CS to the real users here, to be the machine’s best feature.

Hey! I thought I heard someone shouting “Yee Haw! One more day!” from my back yard. I live in RR and was looking toward Albakerky (as Bugs Bunny calls it). Way cool

Albakerky?

Bugs Bunny?

You are showing your age Bill.
(But I remember Bugs & Elmer Fud very well too)

I hope to find a local CNC Users Group. Are you aware of any in this area?

No but I’ll keep my ears open. Had the machine since 2021 and not aware of anyone.

Is there a Makerspace (you can Google your address & “near me”)? They usually have CNCs and folks who glom together so might not need a separate dedicated CNC users group. Also, a woodworking group might have several CNCers. And if there’s a voc-tech college nearby, they may have folks too - you don’t need to be a student in a program to sit in but may need to sign up for a class to be able to use their machines or participate in class-sponsored activities.
