Greetings, All!
Here are some photos of my recently-completed clock. It’s a slightly modified NuLuna design from Clayton Boyer, and by far the most complex clock I’ve attempted. I’m delighted to say that it runs well, a tribute to the design and the OF machine that cut out the parts over the span of the months it took to build.
The clock presents the following information:
- Phase of the Moon (top window)
- Age of the Moon’s phase cycle (small window to the right of phase display
- Day of the week
- Date
- Relative positions of the Sun and Moon relative to each other and the Earth, as well as their positions in the zodiac.
- The small dial on the lower right indicates the angular displacement of the Moon from the ecliptic (Lunar nodes). This is useful in predicting solar and lunar eclipses.
- Time of day
