Great no response from support, I’m gonna have to 200lbs paper weight at home in two months lol
If you go into the manual section for Gen1 Elite starting on page 19 there is a schematic of all 3 machines sizes. I saw somewhere that Gen1 and Gen2 are the same layout only adding a few inches of depth for the larger motors. You can access from the forum under the manual button up top.
Yeah found this just want the exact one for the gen 2…. Im building a fishers table and need to design and build it for the arrival. I have a smaller garage so every inch counts just don’t want to build it and it’s an inch to short lol.
Looks like I’m gonna have to wait till it comes and will have to measure… thought support would have had a drawing as they are in production.
I appreciate your help tho
I’m waiting for a G2 also. I have a super small work area also, so I went with the Journeyman with the folding stand to make moving it easy. No folding stand for the Foreman though.
I know I should have gone that route
But the workbench on the underside is nice, and it was 50$ more to switch it to foreman lol
If you have the space to go larger you will never regret it, but I’m sure they would adjust your order if you wanted them to. Yeah they are priced pretty close to each other when you are all said and done. Just curious what pushed you in the direction of the Onefinity vs Shapeoko or Altmill?
Here’s the Gen 2 Elite Foreman size (more to come).
Onefinity Gen-2 Foreman (Dimensions).pdf (935.3 KB)
So it was between alt mill and onefinity.
I actually pulled the trigger on the altmill after seeing that you tube video with that major deflection. Then some questions were not answered by their support which was simple how much does the product weight lol
I was able to set a meet with onefinity to check out the machine and had the pleasure of meeting Kenneth. I’m all about company and support and good people Ken was a solid dude and answered everything for me plus I was able to see a machine and knew I wanted one then
I’m a pain in the you know what and just like this thread onefinity delivered and provided the diagram. I have also emailed them lol
Plus the alt mill is a straight up grblhal machine with fancy extrusion I can just build that if I want, I want support if needed that is worth lots of money
New gen2
With better motors
Better warranty
Better pipes
I just had to do it
Only one issue I have experienced with this transaction so far is that I am Canadian and price was in usd. I lost 200 on the purchase due to credit card exchange fees and I make a mistake and left things in my card I had to return and lost another 100.
Next to that everything so far is good except the part I need to build a flip table lol. I really wanted a half sheet of ply wood size so I gotta deal with this
Nope
My Redline Foreman took 3 sheets.
Also, beware of the cabling space. The official measurements do not take into account the wires. Since they clip into the back of components instead of from the bottom or top, you need to leave room for them to clip in (and the hard shell plug) as well as the arc of the wire since you can’t just do a 90 degree bend.
You’re better off waiting until you get the machine, set it up on the floor and take your measurements from the real deal.
