Hello!!
I just received my onefinity CNC and a message keeps popping up when I try to test the probe telling to attach the magnet to the collet and to touch the probe to the bit which Im already doing!!
Can some one guide me through please?

paulc that is the test. You attach the magnet to the collet then touch the probe to the bit. To be honest I have had better luck attaching the magnet to the metal just above the collet or even to the case of the router or spindle. You could attach it to the bit but sometimes that doesn’t leave enough room for the bit to touch the probe. Anyway, you are only testing the continuity between the bit and the probe. Once you do that then you move the bit over the circle on the probe and keep it above the circle about a half inch or so. Then you press the PROBE X,Y,and Z button and it will do the rest. If you have any problems just let me know and I will try again to help you.

yes, you will get the message, then you test the probe against the bit. The continue button should light then you click on that and continue.

Try touching the magnet to the plate. If you get a green “continue” then your touch probe is working but DO NOT continue as you need to get the green “continue” to light up when you touch your plate to the end mill.
I would try cleaning the shank of the bit, it is not making continuity to ground. Bits sometimes have a coating to prevent rusting and that needs removing to get a continuity with ground. Also clean the collet for the same reason.

Yes. It’s the diameter not the radius and mm - you look like you’ve got a 1/4" bit specified.
