I ran the initial job successfully, I wanted to make a portion of the cut a little deeper so I modified the depth in vectric and saved and uploaded the new gcode to the Masso controller,
The machine was not re-homed as the job was just completed and was NOT moved. The result was the new cuts were about 1/2" to the right.
I have, as i’m sure other people have, re run jobs on the same piece after making changes some CAM/CAD settings without issue. If i have had issues they were human error in my case.
My thoughts:
check you have not accidently changed the zero point in CAM when creating the revised file
Did you nudge the drawing?
did you pick up the correct file (maybe picking up an older earlier version of the file after realising the zero point was wrong?) I have done this. So i always sort and resort my files before loading and check the date/time stamp (new files can sometimes drop to the bottom of a list you think is ordered). I sometimes have similar files in different folders because first attempt goes to wrong folder and i forget to delete it. Plus a host of other annoying reasons.
did you have a similar named incorrect zero point file in Masso and used it by mistake?
check you have not accidently changed the zero point in CAM when creating the revised file The file was opened on my laptop when the original project was being machined so the Zero point should not have moved.
Did you nudge the drawing? I make every effort to verify the project was not moved when I make modifications. As I have made this costly mistake in the past.

NO
I am new to the MASSO controller but I have made modifications to a project using the buildbotics controller immediately after the project complete and sent the modification to the controller without rezeroing as the material did not move.
I am always diligent when I modify a project to rerun a portion of my job and I take every precaution possible to make sure that I do not add the human factor when I am making a modification.
Unfortunately this has occurred twice on two separate occasions which prompted me into creating this post to see if anyone else may have some insights as the possible cause or if they have experienced this issue before and it was not human error (ie a bug in the Masso controller).
I figured out the issue and I am ashamed to say the error was human error. I when I imported the post processor for the elite i set my desktop to mm and I thought I did the same on my laptop.
the same issue occurred today and I wasted / learned to double check the configuration of the post processor.
