I’ll be all about that. Have thought about it myself. As soon as I have a machine to measure it against, I can try some stuff out.

Still waiting on a train. /s

Thank you Mr krag, I appreciate it.

Yesterday night i noticed a light shining on aome empty chicken waterers that are made of blow molded either hdpe or petg and they radiated the light as if they were actually illuminated directly. Got me thinking what i could print out of clear or white petg and light up. This would be a neat use.

Like with the router shim the shape is simple enough, it is the interaction with the other parts that takes work. A few more weeks, I guess.

There are plenty of lights for the Makita, we need one for the 80mm redline with an ATC dust boot…:grin:I would be more than willing to pay money for.

I think I will try to model something up once I get my SM dust boot. Seems 80mm ID LED rings arent very common so might have to use an led strip and just stick it around in a circle.

These work well around an 80mm spindle:

Yes this trend of cheap ‘halo’ light add one is a boom for users like ours, the market is full of prefab light rings in all kinds of sizes.
This was my first thought also. One of these, a wall wart, some glue, and some 20awg stranded.

Pop pop needs lots of light more than glasses!

Now, can these be run from the connection on the Masso labeled “light”?
