Just got rolling with my new (used) X-35 Woodworker with Buildbotics controller and can’t say how glad I am to finally be running my first files! Everything’s going swell so far, except for a couple of hiccups I’m hoping to work out.
At the moment, there are two instances where my machine is faulting somehow, requiring a restart. The first is after initial boot up. After clicking yes to the ‘home the machine?’ question, the Z axis adjusts up, the X axis adjusts all the way left, and then the machine grunts (not sure which motors) and doesn’t move at all in the Y direction. This happens after about 1 out of 3 cold startups or restarts. Most of the time one reset gets it straightened out, but I’ve had to do up to 3 restarts at times. All wire connections seem ok. Any idea what’s causing this or how I can correct it?
The second instance requiring a restart occurs just after running a file. It happens maybe 1 time out of 5. I can move the head with the wireless joypad, but it doesn’t respond at all when clicking on the arrow buttons on the screen. Any thoughts?
Although the machine is a X-35 Woodworker from 2020, the controller is brand new running software version 1.6.6.
