I just bought a Woodworker Pro w/ stiffy and setup went very well. When I went to home the machine, it started with the Z-Axis, which kept going up, up, and up. Once it hit the top, it kept going up and won’t stop. I hit the E-Stop and rebooted the machine.
When the machine restarted, I manually homed the X- Axis (fine) and the Y-Axis (also fine) then manualy homed the Z-Axis (fine???). So I shut the machine down and tried again.
This time, I hit the “Home Machine” button and the Z-Axis keeps going up, then wont stop when reaching the top.
logged on to the forum to start a thread about this same damn issue, very irritating and makes the machine feel chinsy. I also seem to need to home the thing daily as I notice the X axis becomes uneven on the Y Rails requiring me to always check and make sure the bearings are an even distance from the ends, so a lot of times I will have to move the thing all the way to the back to force the other side to finally hit the end and straighten the X-Axis out. Just seems like bi monthly maintenance needs to be a weekly ritual and I don’t even cut all that much just small pieces of wood and vacuum everything up after each cut. I will watch the video and see if it makes any difference. By the way if you don’t hit the E-Stop, it will trigger the E-stop for you, no errors just states the user initiated it, when i didn’t touch anything.
