I’m seriously considering an Elite, but I currently use bCNC and auto leveling is a critical part of my work flow. I surface map about a half dozen times a day. I know that I can figure out some way to do it with Masso, Auto Levelling using G38.6
and use an external software to marry a Z map and a gcode file, but has anyone done this process and how much of a PITA (pain in the ass) is it? Right now, in bCNC, I have programmed in my board size, which never changes, then I zero my probe and hit “SCAN”, then zero my tool and hit a button to apply the surface Z map. It couldn’t be simpler, but it’s starting to limit other desires for my machine. For example, I really want ATC and the MASSO is ATC friendly. Ug.
If anyone has experience with the MASSO controller and doing the surface map dance, please let me know.
