Masso controller, Fusion 360, and G-Code

I apoloize if this topic has been covered already, but I was unable to find any answers to my particular concern.

I very recently upgraded my X-50 Woodworker to an Elite model with a Masso controller. I quickly discovered that the Masso controller doesn’t automatically turn on the vacuum power on running a program (unlike the older Buildbotics controller, which did.)

I also quickly found out that simply by adding “M08” to the beginning of my G-Code and “M09” to the end of my G-Code will cause the Masso to turn on the vacuum power at the start of the program execution, and will turn it off when the cut is complete.

The issue that I’m concerned about (and I admit that it’s a minor one) is that the Onefinity post processor for Fusion 360 doesn’t automatically add these command during post processing. So after completing the post processing, I have to remember to open the G-Code in an editor and add in the vacuum start and stop commands. While this is not a big deal, I really would like the convenience of not having to do that. I never had to before I upgraded to the Elite CNC machine.

Does anyone know if there is way to modify the Onefinity Fusion 360 post processor to add these commands automatically? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
David

Make sure u put a check mark by the “Use Coolant” when u post.

I’ll give that a try.

It turns out that even though I checked “Use Coolant”, the Masso controller did not start the vacuum. So I started it manually. But at the end of the cut the controller did turn the vacuum off.

I set “use coolant” in the toolpath settings and it works without issue.

Yes, each toolpath in Fusion also has to be set to “flood”

Sorry for taking so long to reply. You were absolutely correct. In addition to checking “Use Coolant”, I had to set each tool path to “Flood.”

Interestingly, Fusion used to give me a warning whenever I created a tool path with Flood enabled, so I would go back and disable it. But now that I have been leaving Flood on, Fusion has stopped issuing warnings.

Thank you for solving this for me!
