Masso G3 ATC build update - new floating ATC dust shoe completed

I just finished installing and testing my new ATC dust shoe design for my modified Woodworker X50. I designed it to work with the new Z axis assembly I installed recently.

Here is a link to the YT video slideshow for those interested - https://youtu.be/s_ItrmraiKE

It covers:

  1. Design and components
  2. Work holding strategies used (acrylic and aluminum stock)
  3. Machining examples (video clips of acrylic and aluminum parts)
  4. Initial testing

My next project will be designing and building a pop-up tool holder rack. I am currently Beat testing the new v5.100b, and along with some great new features is the inclusion of new tool change logic, one of which is for controlling pop-up holders.

Thank you :grinning:

Although I also enjoy making things that are perhaps more artistic in design, there is a real satisfaction in bringing a functional design idea into reality by machining it on a CNC.
