Modifying number of passes

Hello friends,

Brand new CNC owner and I have a question I was hoping to get some help with.

I have an X-50 and am using the included subscription to Carveco maker.

I have it cutting what I want, but now how I want. I’m basically machining channels into flat material, and I need it to make one pass at a specific depth. Currently it’s making multiple passes which doesn’t work.

Like I need one pass at five millimetres deep, rather than five passes at one millimetre deep.

Is there a way to adjust this? I can’t seem to find it under the tool path or tool settings.

Please and thank you.

Im not a Carveco user but when you select the tool the should be a depth per pass setting. Sounds like you have it at 1 mm. Crank it up to 5mm and then when you create the toolpath with that selected tool it should show 1 pass instead of 5. Im assuming its similar to vcarve.
Good luck

Thanks for the answer Robert!

I see a setting called step down, which is I’m assuming what you mean. So I’ll increase it to the depth I want and hope that does it.
