If I have multiple toolpaths, after running my first toolpath, do I have to zero XYZ after changing a bit or just zero Z?
Z only. If you do the X and Y, you run the risk of an offsetting error that shouldn’t have happened. You definitely want to maintain the first X and Y to the max extent possible.
Thank You! I thought that was the answer but was not sure.
Not sure what machine your have you did not say but if it is the elite and if you had a tool setter then after you do the xyz zero on the first tool change you put in the next bit and just hit the run button again. The machine with auto touch off on the tool setting and continue. It works great.
