We dont have workshops in the UK, i generalise, we have a variety of sheds.
I feel a degree of shed envy: windows with views, a festool collection, a swept floor, oh…and of course a 1F CNC.
Your shop makes me sick! Sick of mine that is.
It is nice to see pix of other’s shop digs. Maybe that could be a channel here on the forum. (mine is much too messy to picture)
I’m not really complaining as I’m “Livin’ Lavida Loca” in the sense that my shop grows and demands more from me with each encounter.
I’m envious of all of the room you have to spread out. Wish my shop was as big as yours, and you seem to have made great use of it. At some point if I ever get my shop cleaned up I’ll post some pictures of it. It’s tight, I have a lot of equipment stuffed into 400 ft² but I have managed to organize it in such a way that I can walk through with only minor cuts and abrasions!
You probably don’t want to hear this, but I have 1000sf to work with. I’m fortunate.
Always bigger in the USA
My shed is about 250 square feet. And i thought that was big.
Lots of hard wok here !! Looks great !!!
So literally three times the size of mine at 334 sq.ft. and plenty of room to spare with a Journeyman even. I had to put my Woodworker into an alcove as there was no other way to squeeze it into my shop. It’s always amusing to see what other craftspeople consider a ‘small’ shop. Some members of my woodworking group shoehorn everything under the stairs in the basement while others have to be able to fold everything up so they can park their car in the garage. I consider myself fortunate to have a dedicated workshop right behind my downtown apartment. A little tight but by mounting everything on wheels and doing a bit of a Buzby Berkeley dance in between operations, I make it work.
