Onefinity CNC Firmware 1.3.1 (12/15/23) (X-35/X-50 machines w/ Buildbotics Controller) (Outdated)

Hey Barry, could you help me on the process of this? Right now I’m running v1.0.9 and want to update to 1.3.1. This is how I’m thinking it needs to be done:

  1. Remove v1.0.9 micro sd card.
  2. Install new BLANK micro sd card and power up the machine.
  3. Install v1.3.1 on a USB and upload to the black box controller.

Is it as simple as that or am I missing some crucial steps? Also, do you have a link to the Micro SD card you purchased? I’m not sure if I need to get one with a certain size capacity. Thank you for your time!

Hey Atroz, have you updated your firmware version? I have the F310 and am wondering if there are any issues with updating from v1.0.9 to v1.3.1. Thank you!

Follow the directions at the top of this post to update. It’s as simple as downloading a file to your usb stick, and loading it from the admin panel. no need to pull out any sd cards.

From what I had read they dropped support so I didn’t upgrade.

That sounds good to me, I was just going off of the following post from Onefinity from last December:

“If you were on either 1.0 or 1.1.X family of firmware, it’s highly suggested to reflash the os rather than update to remove any lingering 1.0 or 1.1.x code.”

Was that in regard to something in addition to updating firmware?

it was some bad code. You’re good, since you didn’t install them. Just update via web or via usb from the file above.
