I have a question, I purchased the Journeyman with controller and dust boot the Canadian price was just over $3200.00 but I was charged just over $4500.00 and it’s coming from the US. Why do I have to pay all the exchange rate and anything related to crossing the border. I’m not real happy about paying an extra $1300.00 for a product from a Canadian company

We use a company called boarderworks to cross the boarder first, then it ships out from a New York address when ups picks it up from boarderworks.
Also, Shipping prices are shown in total before you finish your purchase.

we are in Germany and we got our Onefinity using DHL Express via DHL Sort Facility ONTARIO SERVICE AREA - CANADA, DHL Sort Facility CINCINNATI HUB - USA and then over DHL Sort Facility LEIPZIG - GERMANY and then finally from there to our state in the German federal republic. We did not have to pay a customs duty as the sender was in Canada with which the EU has the CETA trade agreement, so no duties for these types of goods (just the usual local import VAT). If it would have come from the U.S., we would have paid 2.7% customs duty, but we hadn’t.

So when you purchased it did you pay the Canadian price for it or did you pay the US price ?

I don’t know about different prices for US and Canada. I paid $2,690.25 for Standard Series Journeyman including Controller but without display and $488.75 for QCW frame in mid-2021, and a little more for a few accessories, and $650 for DHL express shipping. At that time there also existed a Canadian page (now redirects to onefinitycnc.com) but it was not possible to order it there.

Unfortunately (I’m also Canadian) there is no Canadian $ price. The prices on their website are in USD. 3200USD == 4320 CDN. There’s likely tax on that too.

Hey Jim,

are you talking of Elite Series Journeyman (at $3,650.75 USD as of this writing) (controller is always included) or Standard Series Journeyman? The latter is at $2,732.75 USD with controller but without display at the moment. Both would cost $650.00 USD shipping to Germany (EU).
