Onefinity has published a STEP file for the surface mount bracket, and has also posted instructions for tethering multiple ATC together (which requires direct mounting to the wasteboard…ie not using the surface mount bracket or QCW bracket)
I do not think you need to use a bracket for a single magazine, it just adds height so that longer endmills can be used instead of drilling holes into the wasteboard. I believe I saw a table in the manual summarizing possible max/min stick-outs with the various mount options.
For dual magazines, I think they just decided not to make large mounts that may not be used by many.
The table bracket is nice because it raises the RapidChange so you can lower the pockets and use longer bits. If you’re tethering 2 together you can’t use the metal bracket it comes with and the instruction manual says to mount them directly to the waste board.
The onefinity table bracket works great if you’re using one ATC. If you’re tethering two of them together it won’t work. The first file in the zip is for the front ATC…it’s essentially the same as the Onefinity bracket with a little taken off the back end since you remove a small piece to tether them together. The second file in the zip is for the second ATC, it’s shorter in the front since you have to remove the front portion of the rear ATC to tether them together. When you attach the two units together these two brackets should fit nicely underneath
