When controlled from the screen or pendant, my rotary only turns in 1 direction.
IT WORKED BEFORE. I did several rotary carvings.
I have continuity between ALL the motor wires (S+, S-, D+, D-, voltage, alarm and enable).
I have the correct signals matched between the Masso G3 and Masso closed loop stepper.
I have checked everything.
What am I missing? Is this a Masso G3 configuration issue?
Just to clarify, it only turns in one direction now for screen and pendant … and any gcode files you run?
If not done already, you may want to post this on the Masso forum. Masso support may want a copy of your printable settings file to help you troubleshoot further.
Did you ever get this resolved? I just installed a rotary and noticed mine does the same thing, except my pendant does not turn the rotary at all. I got a rotary on AMazon and swapped the motor out with a Masso motor that I bought from OF.
I had 2 issues, my dip switches on the stepper was wrong. I wanted 800 pulses per revolution, which is position 1 off, all others on. I had position 1 on, all others off. not sure how I messed that up.
Second issue was a setting on the A-Axis. I had Travel Minimum set to 999999 and Travel Maximum set to 1000000. I changed Travel Minimum to -1000000 and everything worked as expected.
