is there anyone on this forum willing to talk on the phone to assist, I guess a total idiot, me. I have the gen2 elite without HMI screen, real-time controller, rotary axis, ATC all while using a Mac. I find the manuals confusing and not matching what I have and videos are the same way. I have spent to much money to guess how things go then end up breaking things.
manuals refer to MASSO or BB. no real-time or redline references.
If you are new to cnc, I would master the machine and material hold down, without rotary and without ATC or tool setter. Get proficient with your CAD and CAM software. You should with a little practice be able to use this like any other tool. For simple things, 10-20 min in cad/cam down to the machine, another 10 min of set up and then cut the file. Adding ATC and rotary I would call advanced level and will only overwhelm you. If you are overwhelmed or intimidated you won’t use this wonderful tool. Keep it simple. Play with the machine without trying to cut anything. Know your controller, but way is to click all the buttons. Zeroing, Homing, using your zero probe and how to do the same thing without it. Bit selection and feeds and speeds, what your chip load should be. You don’t have to have a master’s degree, you don’t have to understand “why”, just understand how. Lots of good folks willing to help, just ask what your hung up on and someone here will know the answer.
I totally second everything said, learn the basics before you jump to 4 axis and ATC.
Kind of like learning to crawl before you walk, and learning to walk before you run 
. There seems to be a pattern here. Garbage in = Garbage out is something I remember.
