I am a beginner and would like to see a tutorial on how to do the post processing (generate g-code, setup simulation etc) bit. Is there one for my setup (elite Foreman with masso + fusion 360)? If there is none could someone list resources that I should study to get a hang of this?
After your complete your toolpaths, here’s how you post a file:
Click on the toolpaths you want to post, then click the “Post Process” button at the top.
The Post window will open up.
Enter the file name you would like this CNC program to be called & select a folder on your PC where you would like to store this file (red boxes above).
The green box below is also needs to be set up before you can post. I’ve done another explanation on this in this thread.
Its a good idea to select the “Operations” tab at the top, and make sure all the toolpaths you’ve selected are set to be posted.
I’ve found the Youtube Videos by John at NYCCNC very helpful in understanding the workflow. His videos cover beginner to advanced topics.
