have a suspicion its something connected to the breakout box on the control not connecting properly because I’ve tried several breakout boxes and none work

Then you might be interested to know that, besides the other day I reported you that Ghislain discovered that there can be connection problems with breakout board adapter, now recently another user reported the problem (which persisted) was with the DB-25 connector soldered into Onefinity Controller Mainboard, problem was resolved by resoldering the solder joints on DB-25 connector pins on Mainboard .

Although if I could I would swop it for the Masso controller
