Do I have to probe for Z after each cut when I am doing the same cut on multiple pieces?
Depends,
- Does your project rely on the accuracy of pockets or depths?
- Are your blanks all the exact same thickness?
- Are your blanks/stock perfectly flat (no warping)?
- Is your spoilboard perfectly flat?
Realistically, how long does it take to probe-Z? It would definitely become tedious after many repeats, but the more time you spend setting up your job, toolpaths and work-holding, the better result you will get. If they are all the same, no warp etc then you should be okay.
