*****UPDATE*****
The second file is a ZIP containing the original STL and the .3mf I created in the Bambu slicer.
Even though I always export my models in inches, for whatever reason, Bambu always imports them in mm.
If whatever slicer you’re using imports the file in mm, scale the model to %2540. That’ll get the model back to %100 percent scale as it was designed in inches.
QCW BIT & Tool Bracket v3.stl (5.1 MB)
QCW Bit & Tool Bracket.zip (2.6 MB)
The file was imported in Bambu Labs at a different scale. Can you provide the dimensions of the tool bracket so I can rescale it. Thanks. Luv your content.
It looks like Bambu imported it in millimeters, but the units should be inches.
Hi,
I’m as much a 3D printing noob as I am a CNC noob… so if I drop Morgan’s file into Cura and scale the model 2540% (1 inch = 25.4mm?) then slice and export will that work? Thank you in advance!
I’ve haven’t tried scaling in Bambu Studio yet. I imported Morgan’s file into Tinkercad (selecting Inches as the source unit), then exported it to a new file.
Here is the converted file.
QCW BIT & Tool Bracket v3 (mm).stl (656.7 KB)
Thank you all the mm brothers and sisters love you!!!
I have an older 3D printer but it made a decent print, thanks Morgan!
Thanks Jeff! For some reason, Bambu always imports my models in mm. Scale it to %2540 and that’ll get it back to its correct size. I just uploaded a new ZIP file containing the original STL and the .3mf I used to print it.
Just uploaded a new file with a .3mf.
