f I create a rectangle say 150mm x 100mm in my CAD software, how do I import it at that EXACT SIZE in Carveco Maker. My CAD program will save in a myriad of formats but nothing seems to work
Hi
Why not draw the rectangle in Carveco Maker?
Alternatively export the shape as an .svg vector
You can also rescale in Carveco Maker
D
My actual CAD file is very much more complex than a rectangle and needs to be accurate to 0.2 mm
You probably figured it out by now, but if you haven’t (or if anyone else finds this topic trying to solve) in Carveco Maker there is an option for AutoScale on import. Turn this off.
HOWEVER. As of Oct 2nd 2024, there is a bug in units of measure on the import. I create my SVGs in Inkscape in Inches. Importing them to Carveco on a new model that is set for MM, imports it the correct size. Importing them to a new model that is a set for Inches, it applies the MM value to the Inches measurement, without re-scaling the raw numeric number. So my ~5.8in (~147mm) wide SVG ended up at ~147 inches on import. MM value, inches unit of measure. Ticket was submitted.
