Recommended Size of Axis Home Trigger-point (Target)?

On a custom build I am installing 10mm X 10mm X 4mm square Neo Magnets with a centered countersunk mounting hole. Very easy to mount and triggers easily within the 4mm sspec.

But . . . I have noticed that some use a much longer target trigger range, extending along the axis rails. I can get longer magnets or mount several ‘head to tail’ to lengthen trigger range. OK but . . . How long should [they] typically be? As noted above, my trigger range is 10mm in length.

What are others doing on a given axis rail? I understand that there is no ‘take it to the bank’ target Tp!

What Build Info is required to make an educated guess?

Build Basic Info:
GAP CNC Router is based on a China ‘Queen-Bee’ kit (750X1000 Frame) that is heavily modified;
Linear Rails: Y & B Single Rail, X & Z Double Rails;
X-Y-B Ball Screw 12mm Dia, 10mm Pitch; Z Ball Screw 12mm Dia, 4mm Pitch;
X-Y-B Axis Motor & Integrated Control: iHSV57 AC Servo 180W, 3000 RPM;
Z Axis Motor & Integrated Control: iHSS57 Hybrid Servo-Stepper, 3Nm, 1.8" Step Angle, 1000 Pul/Rev;

What determines the ‘better’ Target Trigger Range (detailed)? Explain why?

Thanks for the assistance and suggestions, Billy
