Trouble Homing a 16x32 machine

I’m a totally newbie to the table top CNC. My machine is an upgraded original machinist with a pro journeyman X axis. So I’ve got a 16" Y axis and a 32" X. I just need the machine to be big enough to carve guitar and bass neck profiles out of aluminum. and this size should work… I hope.

Got a table built for it and have it set up… I’m having trouble homing the machine. I see there are standard settings for the stock machines but since this is an odd sized machine will I need to Stall Home all the motors?

Maybe I load a machinist setting and use them for the Y then load a journeyman and use those numbers for the X?

Thanks a ton.

I’ve got the same machine you do. On your screen’s “Menu” flyout, go to “Motors” and change the limits. Assuming Imperial units, Motor “0” should be around 32". Mine is 32.176. Motor “1” is probably already around 16". You can test it with your joystick, the carriage should stop just before hitting the rail mount.
