Redline Cnc Controller Touch Screen Becoming Not Responsive

Recently got an elite series with the redline cnc controller and the Redline spindle. After getting all the new wires(as we ordered the spindle programmed for a masso but re-programmed to work with the redline controller) the machine was finally up and running. However after running the machine and running the first file, I noticed the screen was absolutely glitching out, flicking between different sections(main, files, run, etc.) almost as if someone is clicking it. Another problem is that after almost every carve, or letting the machine just idle for a little, the touch screen becomes absolutely unresponsive. Not a single click on anything and I have to force shut down every single time. I personally own a onefinity x-50 journeyman with the Buildbotics processor and that thing is like a tank. However I’m realizing how absolutely disappointed I am in this new Redline controller with the mass amount of problems from day 1. Anyone know what the problem is?

I’ve updated the firmware, made sure all the wires are plugged in properly, use the Realtime cnc post processor, updated my vcarve. I’m at a total lost and very upset with feeling like this was a mistake purchase.

Hi. This is generally cause by static (Emi) hitting the “touch” and zapping it back to its landscape mode. You can mitigate this generally by grounding your dust collection!
It sounds like there may be something wrong with your screen if it’s switching screens while carving (it’s possible the screen bevel is touching the screen causing “phantom touches” when the machine is carving from vibrations.).
