Hello just curious has anyone returned there redline spindle. I got mine a week ago and very disappointed. The spindle installed nicely but cant set z errors out every time. I got the 65mm spindle because i was using makita router. When i ordered the info stated it was compatible with all onefinity cnc. Spent a couple days on line with tech. Hes informed me that i have the z16 slider and is not compatible i have to either buy the z 20 slider or the 80 mm mount and shim it down to 65mm. If i would have known id have to replace those parts i never would have bought. Just hoping i can get my money back.
So disappointed
It’s compatible, but height limited because of the motor at the top. This should not affect carving. Just ensure:
- your z slider is mounted in the lowest mounting homes, giving you the highest height
- place you spindle in the mount, raise the spindle all the way up 1mm shy of the top of the spindle hitting the bottom of the motor, and clamp spindle down.
- make sure you are using a .2 safe z height or less.
Doing the above should result in it working perfectly.
