I have a Redline spindle ordered. I have read the Redline VFD manual and see it connects via the DB25 to the Buildbotics controller. When utilizing a router as a spindle I was controlling the IoT switch off the controller DB25, although I currently control the shopvac off my spindle. If the control signal not available off the DB25 because it is in use for the Redline spindle control, does anyone know if the Redline spindle VFD can provide this output signal for the IoT switch?

No kit, no ETA, and no idea yet…
I’m thinking it might be possible to just open up the serial plug and add in the IoT wires… but I haven’t tried yet. Will report back if/when I get to it.

I created a passthrough box for the db25 connector that allows me to pass one of the spindle power wires through a current sensing switch. it also gave me the ability to still have all of the extras I added to the breakout board. the switch controls a relay that activates the contactor on my 220v central dust collector.
