Stair Stepping Carves with STL Model -- Help

Jenn, rather than changing the number in the Metric endmill, why not select the correct entry in the imperial set of endmills and then adjust those numbers, if adjustments are still needed. Since, it looks like you are using Imperial measurements for the rest of the project, i am assuming you have your controller set up for inches, as well.

I actually have been slowly transitioning to metric, and I’ve been trying to adapt my imperial brain to the metric system, so I’ve made a muck of changing values in the process.

Ive already made corrections (to metric values) and I am doing another test run.

Great, let us know how it turns out…

Well, here is my majestic stallion in all of its intended glory… No more stair stepping, and all four sides are chamfered. I want to thank all of those OneFinity Forum Members for seeing me through this.

Lesson learned for sure!

A special thanks goes for @WaywardWoodworker, and @pootaholic for spotting missing or incorrect values in Aspire Toolpaths, and a ‘thumbs up thanks’ goes to @ConvenientWoodwork, @Hermsen.BJ, @Dustoff00, @pwpacp for their time, effort, recommendations and support.

I really appreciate the care guidance and support the forum offers and how it brings us together in moments of despair.

Thank you all!

JENN

How do you change the controller to Inches instead of the MM when “zeroing the bit”?
thanks

That is really cool! Nice work!
