I am in this same boat right now hopelessly stuck for hours. How did this get resolved?

For me it seems as though my attached 1080p webcam was causing problems. After disconnecting it, I no longer have this problem. Do you have a camera hooked up? You could try ssh’ing to the controller and poke around to see what files you have downloaded to the machine.
