I am just now beginning to go on the 3d carving adventure. please forgive my newbie question but in my v carve pro tools list there are no listings for tapered ball nose bits. Is there some downloadable list some place that I missed? am I even asking the right questions about it? Yes I did send this to Vectrics, but I was hoping someone of you 3d experienced veterans can quickly answer this.

You’re a newbie? I don’t think so. 
Anyway, Vectric didn’t add/configure any TBN tools in their default database. You can add one yourself, but you will need the bit information. The best thing to do is download the tools database from the bit manufacturer(s) of your bits, then import them into your tool database.

The Amana tool database is a good one. Their bits are also excellent. Also check out the Jenny buts from Cadence Manufacturing and Bits & Bits.
IDC Woodcraft has a great tool database as well.
I highly recommend both IDC Woodcraft and Cadence Manufacturing (Jenny Bits)! IDC Woodcraft actually carries the Jenny Bits.
I used to get all my router bits from Bits & Bits. I still get the colleted bits for the routers from them. When I fell into the CNC rabbit hole (or rabbet trench) last year, I started discovering small companies that specialized in CNC bits. I now get 99% of my CNC bits from IDC and Cadence. It’s nice to be able to know and communicate with the owners directly! It’s also great to see how they (and other small CNC businesses) support each other and their customers.
As usual with a few simple hints and shoves in the right direction from the wonderful members of this forum, I got it. Thank you all. and by the way the clamps I sell are about to be reviewed by two more makers. fingers crossed:)
