Great news, I’ve been throwing rotary carving to the back of my mind due to the fact that I would have to build a table that would accommodate it. No more. This mounts nicely to my QCW. What will have to be done to The Revolution to be compatible with the recent Masso resolution upgrade, the 2000 steps per revolution?
The Revolution will come with motor settings set to 2000prr.
Setup for the 2000prr will work, nice. Is there a promo code for the 15% offer? The prices for the Journeyman unit shows closer to 10% discount.
The discount is already reflected in the price.
Not sure if it was ever asked/answered, but will the QCW version of the Rotary work with the ATC QCW version?
Thanks in advance 1F…
So does anyone know of any 4th axis dust collection that works? Didn’t see too many ideas in a search. Do I just put a longer brush on my boot?
when will the manual be made public for the Rotary??
Looks like the manual for the Revolution rotary has now been released on the Onefinity website.
The instructions provide a process for manual switching back and forth from 3 axis to 4 axis configuration which involves configuring a couple of inputs, and changing settings for homing sequence and probing.
@OnefinityCNC would it make sense to just save a configuration settings file for each mode and just load the file instead of manually changing these settings each time? It would be nice if the Masso allowed the user to select the configuration file from the USB drive if there were multiple saved configurations. Thanks.
That would be an alternate way of doing things. Masso is… wonky when switching back and forth on this (a button like the BB controller is way, way easier).
We’ve found that sometimes swapping config files on the Masso doesn’t always take, then the screen is stuck sideways and you need to hook up a usb keyboard to fix…it’s a hassle.
Our way works, your way might work better for you… as long as either way get’s the job rotating!
Did not test it, but I think beta 5.100b could be used to toggle between different profiles (configured as different users). You could then simply switch from “Standard” to “Rotary”
