Toolpath error in Vectric Pro (solved, tool numbers)

When I try to combine the tool paths into a single file so I can use my toolsetter between tool changes I get this error. I think it is because the post processor is identifying an ATC (which is coming sometime in the future but not here now). I can only find one other post processor for vectric but it is “Masso (mm) (*.nc)” While this might be okay I think I will have to remake the design as I built it in inches. Anyone else come across this error?

I am brand new, just got my foreman in early December and I am trying to go slow and learn before I turn the machine on…so I am probably missing something simple.

I can export the files as separate toolpaths. But then I have to touchplate the tool between each tool change. I know, this is what i am supposed to do, but I have the easy Z tool setter and would like to to work, rather than be eye candy on the side of the machine. Thanks in advance for your patience with a newbie.

Hi Ryan,
I’m still on the steep part of the learning curve when it comes to the tool database that’s within Vectric software.

One thing I’ve learned is Vectric assigns a tool number to my most often used bits and that I can change that number if I wish. See pic:

Is it possible you’ve got 2 different bits both labeled as tool number 1 in your tool database?

Are you using the same tool for sure?
I.e. one is an up cut and the other is a downcut in your profile toolpaths?

Hello Mike,

Thanks for the catch! Once I went through the tool database I realized that the Jenny bits all uploaded as tool number 1…I went through and re-numbered the Jenny database bits and then recalculated my toolpaths and the error cleared!
